Out of town fish store visit

I just got back from a business trip to Tarrytown and while I was there I couldn't help but to check out the local fish shops there. The first one was Jawz Aquarium in Elmsford, where I found this guy... (no I didn't purchase, just was amazed at the size.. he was HUGE! About 2ft in length and as big around as my 18 lb cat!)

The shop was kinda of a hole in the wall place but the stock and tanks were quite nicely kept and the guys were nice and knowledgeable (no BS like some other places I have been.)

I then learned of a place just over the CT border called House of Finns in Greenwich. All I say is WOW! If you ever make it out that way definitely go! They have a gorgeous 700Gallon reef tank and their tanks are fantastic. Very knowledgeable staff. They have both fresh and salt. I picked a few pieces there and am very happy with my purchases. Here's a couple pics....

Johnny... I didn't know that. But it shows that they are doing something right. When I was there they were quite busy.

Acd... I didn't know about them but will definitely put them on the list the next time I go back.

You're welcome... another place that I was going to check out is NY Aquarium which is about 10-15 mins southeast of Tarrytown. I've heard their prices are good but their stock is kinda hit or miss. Hopefully next time I'm down there I'll get a chance to check it out.

Looks kind of like a dog faced puffer.
