Overflow Placement on a 4ftx4ft tank?

i am planning a 4ftx4ft tank build and need some input on efficient overflow placement.

i will drill two holes in the bottom glass which will be fitted with bulkheads and standpipes into the tank for overflows. given the large surface area of the tank, i want the surface to move efficiently. i want to place the overflows in the back corners of the tank. do you think this would be sufficient in getting the whole surface to move?

it is going to depend on how you return the water as long as you use modular tubing the kind you can point on the end of your return line you should be fine.also if you are going to have powerheads or wavemaker will make a difference

I am building a similar sized tank, I have the entire back as the overflow.
