Welcome to IM40..I love my tank. Saw the rock work...I would try and open it up more, give maybe a rock bridge or a space the fish can swim from the front to the back or places to hide.

Decided to pull the media baskets and go with just floss holders. All that's in them are the bioballs and LR rock chunks...they can be loose in there..don't think it will hurt anything...may decide to move the reactor into one of those chambers too...just want an option...I have so little room in the center chamber I don't think the doser line holder will fit!!

Brave man...add coral and then change of the filtration..you might be the same boat as me pretty soon.. I have never been a fan of bioballs..dont know why..I too might pull out the reactor if my phosphates stay low.. I have the avast probe holder on slip between chambers.

Have the vortex pumps attached, but for the life of me cannot get the radions attached

Not really changing the filtration. Everything basically stays the same. I use floss on top of the baskets. They have been only carrying the LR chunks and the balls. Not bio balls. They're the porous stone balls like LR. More surface area for bacteria.

As for your issue. Check the modules page and see what the firmware is at. Also check the apex version. I had a heck of a time updating my radion to work too, but it came down to getting the right firmware on the radion, then it connected. Look in Neptune systems forums for a step by step.

Oh. Also. Important. Only use the updates as posted in Neptune forum. If you use the ecotech updater, it won't work. Pc works better than Mac for this too. I had to take mine to work as we're a Mac house.

I have the new firmware downloaded on the radion.I have a pre october 2014 one...

What is the web interface website? people say cant do through fusion. I think my wxm needs to be updated

I have Rev 4.33-BD14 on my apex

my wxm says .10

Use your browser and plug in the IP of the apex. User name admin pw 1234
It will open the old style web interface. From there go to configuration then modules, select the wxm from the drop down and it gives you the update options there. I was told that it actually works better from the display controller. I used that method once and it does work.
It'll all be worth it...when you see the graphing controls in fusion...

can you show me the floss holders you have and where to get them please? I've been just shoving mine in

I can join the club now! Just set up my fusion 40 Monday. What it consists of is...

-IM fusion 40(duh)
-custom stand
-max spect razor 120w(looking at radions)
-jebaeo wp25(looking at mp10)
-some heater that came with the tank
-looking at tunze 9004 skimmer
-stock cadi in right chamber with filter pad, phosguard, chemipure, elite
- stock cadi in left with a huge wad of chaeto in it and filter pad in second slot, third is empty
-clamp on light(very ugly and very temporary) as fuge light
-stock return
-and last but not least my trusty mag float
