Owners Thread: Innovative Marine Fusion 40

im getttin ready to order the nuvo 40 but i dont want to use the factory stand . Have any of you used something different for a stand that worked out well and is better built than the IM stand for 350.00. Im thinkin of a vanity with some sort of top on it right now , just checkin for better suggestions. TIA
 
I'm using the IM APS stands and they are amazing. They are made of alluminum, easy to build and strong. Couple viedos on them at either IM or MD. But a custom stands are always cool looking too. Just remember the weight of tank on a vanity?

yea if i use a vanity or a base cabinet i will def reinforce it .

im debating on a skimmer still, i had a nuvo 20 for a while and then heater malfunction and tank crash last year so i took a break and now i wanna come back. but i have hydra 26 hd still , smart ato , i had the ghost skimmer on the 20 and it worked fine but i thinkin about the aquamaxx 1.5 or tunze 9004. i have an mp 10 and the spin streams . I think im gonna pick up a 24x24x35 base cabinet and use a countertop for a stand. im really excited my tank just got here today and im so ready to set it up lol.
 
Knowing what I know now I would have seriously looked at Aquamax or Reef Octopus HOB skimmers. Tunze was difficult for some on older post setting it up.

Do you have a good schedule for Hydra? I use it still trying to dial it in.

Can't wait to see shots of your build.

I ended up building my own, cost me about a quarter of that. If you have the time, a solid wood stand would work best!! Or steel frame if you can fork out the money, those MDF stands are garbage.

Wavelink Interernal wave pumps with controller

Mighty jet controlable return pump

Both at on IM's site and MD I've seen.

Pretty cool, I'm interested in both of these. Would be nice to hear some feedback if anyone has tried them out.

i dont have any good schedules anymore , i was using one i had found on here or nanoreef. after more research i think im gonna go with the new cad lights pls elite 50 https://www.cadlights.com/index.php...id=364&zenid=c5951aab30904fa8c48066f88acd0310 ive got the vanity and will be working on the additional supports this week/weekend depending on work.

Tunze 9004 for the win. Spend a little extra and get the DC version. Awesome, easy to control, skims well.

New nuvo fusion 40

Just set up a week ago and added clean up crew last night. When do you recommend setting up protein skimmer?
