Owners Thread: Innovative Marine Fusion 40

Agreed. 100%. It's either bmw or Mercedes they say.

I go Volvo and saved money! ( though I have the radion) you get my point

When I was in college I drove a 1985 Volvo with a terrible grey paint job, but that is still by far and away my favorite car I've ever owned. Off the subject, but point well taken. :)

As further evidence I made the right decision for me, yesterday for the first time I saw the Apex decide it was time to be cloudy and dim my Kessil, and thought that was the coolest thing ever. Way too tempting for me to screw around with all the controls on a Radion!

285 a pop if you want wireless :)

1. Controllable from the box. Don't need to add a controller to control it. Change different flow right away
2. Can communicate with radion and other pump ( anti-slave mode and switching into night mode when radion goes to moon light/off
3. Appearance. Clean look inside the tank. Doesn't take up a lot of room.
4. No cords running into the tank. Cords on the outside of the tank, so you do not have to worry about stay voltage coming into the tank.
5. Minor. If you have a cordless phone, radio, or other device that runs in the same room, jebao pumps can run static interference.

How did I do? Didn't take it personal at all. You just made me have to prove my reasoning which is great!

Now go buy them!:p
Noted lol

I used those thin felt chair pads. Probably not the best solution though as they settled under the weight of the full system. I'll probably re level it all she she paints...

The sailfin is happy...

I need to get one of those. My watchman goby sucks I never see him =(

I have heard good things about the Avast ATO... i use their probe holder.

That's a really good idea. Wish I had thought of that. I went with Home Depot wood shims. Didn't need much correction - just a bit on one side.

In other news, proceeds from recent birthday gifts have funded an Avast ATO switch and pump. Decided to get the Apex-ready switch. I opted for the back-up float switch, although I can't really tell from the photos if the float switch will actually fit in the sump. Also ordered 60 pounds of Tropic Eden Reeflakes (more than I needed, but they only come in 30-pound bags). Slowly but surely getting there.

Ya I love my Volvos... On my 5th one. My wife stole my XC60 R, so I took her car and traded it in for a XC60 R..so now we have two. Going to get the new XC90 R at the end of the year. Wife wants another child, so we need a bigger SUV :)

I use to play around with the Radions setting, but now its always sunny in Westchester.

Where did you find the reef flakes? I wanted that for my bed but it's been out of stock forever! I got tired of waiting for it...

Then they changed their controller. Mine would go completely off at a programmed time for all three channels, using the built in controller. Apex control was a bit wonky at that time too as it was a brand new option. I ran the built in controller because it was more reliable than the apex interface at that time. it had very adjustable ramp times and 3 independent channels.... Sounds like it's still not there yet for apex control. IIRC if I switched off the power, the timer would lose its setting, so I left it on always with a high temp statement on the outlet.

Ricks a good guy and he makes a solid product. He stands behind his stuff. He even transferred my warranty to the guy who bought it.

Yea, just checked it with the Apex to make sure, and yea. Even with the dimming channels all the way down the lights are still on so it will require 2 outlets on the Apex, one for moonlights and one to turn the lights out all together.

How about I trade you one of our kids and my Honda Pilot for one of your XC60s??? Just be warned: if any of your friends have told you that having two kids is helpful because they entertain one another, they are LYING to you. The amount of noise in the house, trash generated, and wine consumed by parents increased four-fold by doubling our children from one to two.

I had every intention of ordering an Avast probe holder at the same time I ordered that ATO. And completely forgot about it until you mentioned having one. Dangit!

Premium Aquatics has them in stock now! Shipped out the same day I ordered them.

I ordered their sample pack so I could see the different sizes, handed them to my wife for her input, and she gave me the craziest look. "For the bottom of the tank? That won't be enough unless it expands when it gets wet, will it?" Umm... no... no, it won't...

Cool. It's s little late for me to change substrates but I may order a couple bags just in case! I checked their site prob 5-6 times last summer and they never had it...

Yep. Dimming stops at about 10% with the 0-10v controller on most LEDs.. If the rr still has the built in dimmer/timer, that works better than the apex on that fixture.

So I was wrong on the ato jug I ordered from Amazon. It would not fit well. So I just ordered a custom acrylic 5g that will fit perfectly with the eshoppes 2 part container.
Oh well, not like I can't use another pair of 5g water jugs...

My 165p+ has wifi and I control/program it from my iPhone. I can dim each channel down to 1%

HAHAHA...I guess I will need to buy a larger wine cooler! :)

I read that to my wife and she started laughing.

Call and add the probe to your order..they have really great customer service and will do it for sure. I like my holder a lot

Using the apex control or any other variable speed controller, dimming stops at about 10%. It's the led drivers they use... I had said the built in controllers dims to 1%. The app is part of, and communicates with, the built in controller. If you were to plug yours into an apex, I'd be curious if it would shut off at 10%. I suspect it would. When I had mine, it shut off at 45% on the apex.
Wonky. For sure. But that's the way it worked. As advertised and documented..

They also could be using all new drivers since last May when I bought mine...

Really? I have clouds programmed into my lighting schedule daily for an hour or do.. But not on weekends. Lightning is also a cool effect. I'll occasionally throw it on just for fun.

Well..... I probably shouldn't have, but I did.
Ordered Radion XR30W Pro, Radion RMS and Neptune WXM.

I like the fact that the Radions can be upgraded to newer models when they come out. Plus if/when I upgrade to a bigger tank I'll already have one Radion.

Now I just gotta sell my RR light.
