P. ciliata care questions

1. My searching has been frustrating to this point - I would just like to know the basics of substrate size and depth, prefered rock sizes/shapes - home building stuff. The P. c. is simply not as adept at moving rock and sand to create a home as are the 2 G.t.'s and the O.s. and I want to make it homey for him/her.

2. I have read of the ease of mating of the P. c., but is cohabitation possible? What tank conditions would make this viable?

3. Lastly, what is the maximum size of the P. ciliata?

thanks in advance for answers to these questions,
Chris

T-T-Trigger, Im no expert your species but from what Ive read about care for a spearer coupling fine sand with some crushed coral gives a potential cave some strutural stability when it comes to caves in the substrate. From here on it would be all assumptions so Ill let someone more experienced chime in.

Chris. I used a combo of cc and southdown for my sand. My mantis seems to love it and is doing wonderfuly. As for depth I used about 3" of it in a 6 gallon. My lil guy will soon be getting an up grade to a 10 gallon once I paint the stand.

For your second question I don't believe that it is possable but this is a question for Roy.

As for their size I think they can grow to be around 4 inches. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
