Pacific Coast Calcium Reactor

I was browsing and found this item and had some questions. It needs a pump I'm guessing, what one would be suitable? Does it work with a solenoid/PH controller? Do you have access to the other Pacific coast models? How about the Coralife model, will it work with a solenoid/controller? My 58 gallon doesn't need much, but I'm getting tired of dosing and something that will work hang on would be preferable. I don't have any room left in my sump. Anything else you would recomend? Thanks.

Hi,

We can get you the PC if you are interested in that unit. Both of them still need have co2 introduced in order to melt the aragonite media and supplement your tank with calcium and bicarbonate. They are both Chinese made, so quality isn't the greatest on them. Having said that, it's not something you will be tossing around in your front yard amonst friends either! ;) Between the two I actually like the Coralife just a little bit better. I currently have an open box Coralife of the one you are looking at. Email me for more details, jeremy@premiumaquatics.com

Thanks,
Jeremy

Geo's basically need the following:

Media (I like the Gen-X Coral Sand)
CO2 Tank
Stable CO2 tubing (about 6 ft)
feed pump(Maxi Jet 1200) if you're not teeing off your return
CO2 regulator/solenoid(gen if using pH controller,Reef Fanatic if not)
ph controller (only optional if you're VERY dedicated to testing IMO)

It's lots of upfront cost, but a money saver vs. using 2 part systems like B-Ionic on a lg tank.
