Pacific Mantis?

What types of Mantis shrimp woudl hitchhike in on Fiji rock? I didn't think any could, but my tank has been a number of very loud and clicky noises at night now. At first I just thought it was the occasional malata snail (who love to crawl on my tunze) getting kicked out of a Tunze Stream pump. But yesterday I found a shedding (only 3/4") that looked an awful lot like that of a mantis. I curently have a 2" corcea and 3 1" maxima's happily growing, and I'm a tad bit worried.

Also if there is a mantis from that area, what would be the best way to catch him? I have a 10 and 3 gal I could stick him in (or setup a 15 or so if need be). Also I dont' think I've had any missing snails yet, but he could pick off the little ceriths and or one of the hundreds of baby malata's and I'd never know....

Most of the stomatopods that we see in Fijian rock are small gonodactyloids. Common species are Gonodactylellus affinis, Haptosquilla hamifera, and H. glyptocercus. I have also seen the occasional Gonodactylus smithii.

Im just a rookie but it could also be a possible pistol shrimp. I work at a saltwater fish store in memphis and have found several in live rock. just a thought.
