Pacific Sun Kore 5th dosing Fan Club

Brs is a 2 roller on an armature industrial style pump made by a peristaltic pump company. Not the 3 roller friction driven osff of the motor shaft.

Ok, I understand - I don't know this unit.. Friction rollers dont make a difference for liquid drip back - its rather depend from number of rollers. Typically - more rollers, less possibility for left oump head in "open state" which allow to drip liquid (int sump or back into container).

My doser is mounted right over my dosing container. Then the lines travel to the tank but only drop about 7-10 inches below the height of the doser.

Lines are located and drip into the water not below

So if your doser is mounted above containers there is no risk for siphon effect(to sump) - until your tubings ending are far below containers liquid.
I know that our service asked you for .mbf file(Memory Backup File) - which will tell us everything whats happened(and why) with your doser.
They will check calibrations, dosing times etc.
Please reply to their mails giving them all needed informations which they ask for.
Thank you very much.

here is my setup:

I have no received and email yet from the service department, I will standby to see if it comes through later.

Are there instructions on how to retrieve this .mbf file?

What kind of app are you using? Windows? Mac?
If Windows, you need to go to last tab and click on button Memory Backup - it will generate file with doser setting.
Actual Mac version not allow for this yet but in next week there will be new software release which will allow for that from Mac app.

Ok so I use a check valve...which way am I supposed to mount the thing...

I want liquid to flow into the tank, but I also want the liquid to stop flowing to my tank when the doser shuts off, this cannot be fixed with a check valve. The check valve will prevent all liquid from going into the tank. If I was worried about the liquid going back into the container then this would work.

I hear ya. When mine gets sett up it will be very near the same level as the sump too. But if it's allowing a syphon it also probably isn't dosing quite right due to the leaking. Are you running the super small tubing in it? The only other thing I could think would be to run some of the heavier tubing

I'm currently running the tubing that came with the unit.

I was thinking of switching to the heavier duty stuff

I really....realllllly want this doser to work out, I even contemplated getting a second one for the AquaForest program.

Aquaforest already tested our Kore5th units and as I know this product will be suggested for dosing their supplements - a specially that it have 0.01ml(!) resolution in single dose.
If you have version with Pharmed tubings - I strongly suggest to switch original for that nes - they have almost 1000h lifetime and work great on fast flow mode(offering also very precise dosings - below single drop).

I believe the Pharm tubing is the darker colored, almost tanish/brown tubing that came with the doser, well i believe they came with the doser.

If they did not, where can I purchase?

in stalled the Pharm tubing...trying to calibrate...but nope this unit wants to do whatever it wants!!!!!!

Start calibration...then hit stop....awesome great it stops.

Go to check calibration and it runs 5 seconds longer than it is supposed to...***...

someone people tell me what i'm doing wrong

After calibration procedure you need to save results in doser memory using button Save.
After that your doser will be calibrated on exact tubings/speed and you can check how its working, I'm sure that will work correct ;-)

Just an FYI

Your manual says to do the calibration. Start and stop at 10mls...that's fine.

The next step says to check calibration...so calibration is then checked and it runs about 5 seconds longer than the first calibration.

Your manual then says to save it all at the end. You get ZERO confirmation that anything has been saved. And this goes for all saving features of the unit.

In point 4 we informed that button Save result should be used for each pump(mean - after calibration because it's in calibration groupbox).
However maybe it's not clear - thank you for your important input - we will correct our manual and include this information about saving results for each pump. Till now we never had similar feedback from any Customer so we didn't know that can be not enough explained.
As I understand after using Save results button it started working properly for you.
