to paint the back of a tank do you scuff the glass with anything, or sand? Or just clean, clean, clean, then paint? Also what color do you guys like, black or blue? I would like blue but figure black matches equiptment and overflows better, so I may be going black.

I wiped mine down with paint thinner and just spayed, do very light coats it runs quick.

Black is better imo. pops the colors more.

Krylon Fusion here. I got mine at Home Depot, and I believe Lowe's carries it also.

any gloss black paint works on the glass I get the cheap 99 cent stuff at walmart clean it with windex and make sure its dry and spray on in light coats to prvent runs ...best part if you dont like it comes right off with a razor ..

can painting the back of your tank help reflect light back in the tank. if so what the best color ? light blue or black

do you have a link to the article? I would like to read it as I am currently debating black vs blue right now

How many coats about? Im painting the back and bottom of a 75. Used a whole can and you could still see through it. I used the krylon fusion stuff seems to be going on good. Im in process of blasting it with another can.
