i recently got 2 pistol shirmp... the both have live rock caves i constructed when setting up the aquarium.. and suggestions on gobys? i have been thinking about atleast 1 black ray shrimp goby.. due to its size im working with limited space in this reef tank.. any suggestion would be grately appretaited

well it all depends on what size tank you have and if you should even get 2 shrimp gobies. you need a rather large tank to house 2 seperate pairs without having any problems.

i have been wondering, could you have bnoth shrimp in one tunnel with one goby?
or possibly a pair of gobies with a pair of shrimp?
how do shrimp gobies, and pistol shrimp mate in the wild anyway?

If you have atleast a 55gal you should be ok.
I have two of my gobies paired with 2 tiger pistal shrimp.
A black ray high fin goby with a baby pistal shrimp
and a blue watchmen goby with a bigger tiger pistal shrimp.
Both gobies were in the tank atleast 5 months alone before I put the pistal shrimp in. The watchmen goby and high fin gobies are not good diggers so they are most likely to hook up with a pistal shrimp. Both of my gobies joint together with their shrimp 10 min after I put them in the tank. Once a goby find a shrimp they turn into another fish onlyworried about their burrow and their pistal shrimp. My pistal shrimp have never seen each other because they dont leave their burrow often.
And to answer your question you cant ever really tell what they will do. People say I got lucky that mines paired so fast. If you buy a mated pair of pistal shrimp im sure they would live together. But as far as two pistals meeting up that would be a long shot.
