Pajama Cardinals .... and Insomnia!

Never have kept pajamas before, but my cragslist special came with three of them, and I thought they were pretty cool - but as near as I can tell they don't sleep. Tank lights go off, moons come on, all fish are safely tucked away except for the pajamas, who continue to swim happily around the tank. I'm guessing this is normal behavior?

Yes, they are more nocturnal than most. Mine are most active just after lights out. I think they are a very under-rated fish. I love mine! I have two in a 150g and am looking to increase to 4-5.

I have 2 in a 120 gallon. They are naturally nocturnal as are most cardinalfish. Mine come up to the front of the glass when I go by at night looking for a handout.
I always thought Pajama Cardinals were boring until I broke down and bought some. I have found these guys to be a favorite.

Yeah but nocturnal generally means awake at night, asleep during the day. These fish are awake all the time as near as I can tell.
