Pan World Pump Has Excessive Vibration

Any thoughts as to what the cause could be?

Not sure I want to shut it down at this hour of the night to disassemble only to find that I need a new pump in the morning.

I'd pull the impellar housing off and look for damaged impellar or blockage.

I don't think you have a choice about disassembling the pump. Probably sucked in a snail or something small and it's stuck or damaged the impeller.

Did it happen all of a sudden?

thank goodness for union joints! the o-ring had detached and was wrapped around one of the impeller blades.

thanks for the advice and convincing me to stay up to do it, was much less painful then i imagined it was going to be.
