Hi,
We were doing a water change today and i just saw my femail pass eggs to her mate, some didnt go in but i am sure some did, should i thak the mail out and put him a tank on his own or wait untillits almost time for the babies to come.
Also how many day before he will give birth and should we be giveing them bbs and should we wait until the babies come before hatching the bbs.
Sorry so many qustions i have been reading up on this but it will not stay in my head.

14 - 21 days before delivery .i would leave in tank until then . no experience with raising them just know its a process.

You never mentioned the species.
If they are benthic like S. H. erectus, then usually enriched bbs will suffice. Grow the bbs out for a day after hatch out and then enrich in two 12 hour stages with new water and enrichment for each stage. Rinse and feed to the fry.
If they are pelagic like kuda or reidi then you probably need to start with rotifers and go to enriched bbs a bit later.
The only seahorses I've raised are reidi but you can see what my methodology is at this page: http://www.angelfire.com/ab/rayjay/fry.html

Hi Sue,

If you haven't hatched artemia before, better to get in some practice now. The erectus will take the enriched just fine. What will you be using to enriched the artemia with? May I suggest the Dan's feed with Beta-glucan?

Kind Regards,

Tim
