PAR question?

For all else being equal, will a 80w T5 arcatic bulb produce the same PAR as a T5 10k bulb?

If the PAR of two bulb are the same but different in colour will the same coral grow at the same rate with all else being equal?

Brightness does not equal +PAR?

If you mean actinic vs 10k ,the answer to your question is no it will not produce the same PAR as the 10k. It will produce significantly less.

to answer the second part of that, If PAR is equal and color is different, you may have the same growth, but perceived AND actual color of the corals will likely differ due to the different spectrums of the bulbs(....even though the PAR is equal in this hypothetical situation). But, like Tom says, PAR will differ when it comes to comparing actinics with 10K bulbs. At least that's my understanding of it.
