Paracheilinus attenuatus quarantine

I have one of these beauties coming in on Friday and had a quick question about quarantine. Would a couple of pvc pieces and whatnot be enough or do I need to have a make shift sand bed for this guy to sleep in as well?

Para's don't bury so no need for sand. I QT'd mine with a few 1" PVC sections and a rock overhang in a 100L and they were fine. Good luck - they are great fish.

They are coming from quality marine through my lfs. They called me when they saw them available and were able to get two. I pick mine up tomorrow.

Haha I got my call today mikeandnicolel I will be getting the smaller of the two as I was told you already wanted the larger. I'm picking mine up around 11:30 tomorrow. I was told they will be in the store around 10am.

I have mine acclamating right now, the larger one had some beautiful colors on it, mine isn't to far behind from what I can see, but this is only seeing it after a stressful trip. I don't think you will see these on divers den or liveaquaria anytime soon. I was told these were the only two that QM had gotten in.

Mine is acclimating as we speak. Since I will never get a picture as good as QM, here is the one they posted on their facebook page of my fish.

I'm all wrassed out at the moment anyway and need to hold off for a bigger tank. :) AO is great but I'm glad it's an hour away. Good luck with it.

Wow, great score! I love AO and wish I knew they were getting some. How much if you don't mind me asking? Pm if you'd prefer.

Congrats on the beauty!

They got two in and they were both sold before they even hit the store. I will let mike chime in on the price he paid for his, because I don't know what he actually ended up paying. I ended up paying 250 plus tax, but mine is also a initial phase male, not a full blown beauty like mikes.

Mine is doing great, it hasn't changed much since I got it. The tail has taken the detailed diamond shape but that's about it. I have a "super" male Carpenters in my tank that I believe is preventing or prolonging the diamond tail to change completely. I have several other wrasses and the carpenters is the only one that bothers it.
