Paravortex

Long story short. Yellow tangs have it, looks to be spreading to the purple tang and possibly now the hippo.

Questions. Does it only effect tangs?
I can go fishing with a small barbless hook and get them out as I do have an established quarantine. The tiny wrasses, probably no chance of catching them in the 180g tank.

What treatment?
Freshwater dip?
Prazipro (API General cure)?
Formalin (Rid-ich)?

If I remember right, FW dips and/pr formalin were always the standard cures. But Paravortex is a worm: I'd try FW dips and Prazi-Pro.

Going to dose the whole display tank with API general cure which contains the praziquantel. I caught two of the tangs, but the others were too smart and just picked the bait off the hook and laughed at me. My purple tang did not handle the freshwater dip well at all. He was swimming around fine in the bucket but as soon as he went back in the tank he looked severely stressed. Right now he's at the bottom of the tank, laboured breathing. He's at least upright though. The only promising thing was he regained his color before I kicked the lights off. I can't see that this flatworm is going to be just particular to tangs.. and there's no way i'm catching all the little fish for treatment. I dosed this in my quarantine which has a few inverts and they all survived so I think I'll be ok.

Purple tang didn't survive the FW dip.. which is weird because he was swimming around fine in the bucket. It looked like as soon as he went back in the tank somethin happened. The yellow tang managed the dip fine and has no spots at all, but I seen some other fish starting to scratch so time to dose the whole tank. Meds are sittin on the doorstep as I speak. This can also be used as a food soak, so I figure it can't hurt.

Ok so the API General cure didn't work. Yellow tangs still have it after a week of treatment and I see some signs of scratching from some of the other fish.. :/ So.. game on *****es.. time to formulate a diff plan.
