No its stuff floating from what i can tell
there is no little bubbles coming out of my power heads or anything just crap floating in the fater that i cant seem to get rid of
my Filter Floss gets filled up pretty good with crap to
I am still pretty new to this hobby, (one year next month) but I would think it has something to do with the skimmer not picking it up or maybe you need a bag of carbon in your sump??? If using a filter sock maybe it needs to be changed?
Jason, I had that same problem in my 12g aquapod. I used peices of black plastic and covered up the lower 2 intakes so that all the water had to go through the overflow. The tank is crystal clear now and nothing floating around anymore. I also run a small bag of Chemipure.
The no skimmer is the issue I think. If you have no surface skimming then you get the gunk. BigKev may have the answer there. You need a way to take water from the top in your circulation.
Oh, now I see, floating around. Hmmm. If it really isn't microbubbles then I'm not sure what it is. But if you can run the return pump through a filter bag for a couple days that should help.
Seriously, see if you can run the water through a filter sock, that should help. Purigen, carbon, these aren't going to remove particulate matter. You need some sort of mechanical removal and with no skimmer, your only option is either some sort of floss, sponge, or bag to take out the "bits." A spong on a maxijet if you are running one in there may well be enough.
i got floss in the drip pan and a spone where it enters the pump chamber
set up like a regular overflow
i think ill do how he says and put a filter sock on the return output
He Ostrow u still got theat little Eclipse tank
I traded you for that xenia a few years ago?
Yeah, the 12gal running in my son's room. FW tank. We are quite the butchers in that little tank ... you would think we were anti-gourami genocidal maniacs! There was an issue with the hood when I got it and Marineland replaced it at a nominal cost.
sorry to hear that really am Maarineland is good though at stuff like that
I got a 6 gallon one and the ballast in it is melting through the plastic i have to give them a call
