Pastey's 200DD

Yea I did. If you go back to the early pages of this thread, you will see all the piping was white. Considering making all reactor piping orange.

I guess it kind of looks like a nice tank, but it is so fuzzy and indistinct it's hard to be sure. Try either focusing more or upload a higher res (1080p) version.

Thanks, worm. What are you putting around the link so it shows in post? I know some forums do it automatically and others need HTML coding for it.

When in youtube. Go to the share link, below the video. Select the embed part. Just copy and paste that line in as regular text, with nothing extra added before or after.

[iframe width="853" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/a6cnyJ3SSto?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen][/iframe]

In the above example I replaced the greater and less than signs with square brackets. ONLY so you can see what is pasted. Nothing added nothing taken away in the corrected version.

Made a small adjustment to the plumbing diagram. Noticed that if I plumbed that way, the refugium section of the sump would get 1/2 the flow from the DT rendering it pretty much useless (as a refugium). Instead, I will pipe it to the other side of the sump to the skimmer section and tee off for the refugium with a ball valve shortly after so I can dial in the amount of flow that I want.

I am plumbing my 220 gal tank with this exact sump. I was curious as to why you plumbed the refugium from your return. I havent glued yet but I have mine coming from the drain but split off from one of the other drain pipes. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1427353036.730584.jpg

Just hoping to gain some more insight. Your set up looks amazing and I really enjoy researching and following your progress.

I plumbed off the return because it allows me to control the flow rate. If I had plumbed off a drain, it was going to be inefficient and rely on gravity. Hope that and my thread help your build!

Picked up a large toadstool (like....measured in feet instead of inches) yesterday. It hasn't acclimated completely and stood up but its massive. Polyps were extended earlier but I imagine it's going to take a few days for it to get truly comfortable.

Moved almost everything around to accommodate the new addition. Tank is still ticked off but I really like the new look.

I also wound up moving my 2 side MP40s a bit. I've always had a bit of an issue with the flow being really strong midway up the tank in the very middle because all the Vortechs were pointed at the same spot. This has always caused me problems when it came time to mount a coral or something because it would get absolutely blasted to death which left the top of the larger man made rock piece (now on the right)empty. To make room for the toadstool, I moved it over and back while also moving the Vortechs. The left one is now more towards the back and the right has been moved to the front. This creates a clockwise gyre affect but I still have the rear MP dead center to keep it from being too linear...or at least that's the idea.

Took some time today to a little sump maintenance. Vacuumed out the refugium and return section, cleaned the skimmer and trimmed the chaeto back by about 50%. Lot of detritus build up as it's been a while since I've really spent the time to clean it out.
