Looking good man, you can see the new growth for sure. Nice recovery, it sucks when something like bad salt messes up months or years of hard work. Oh and your "red monti" as you called it is a Superman monti, a very nice coral and one of my personal favorites. Here is a older pic of mine it has grown a bit, color is much better in person about the same as yours.

Some random pieces that I can't find older pictures of.. but are growing back and or holding good colour finally.

My abrolhosensis I almost lost this piece is now growing back. Still none of the great red pink rainbow it had before

Neat little blue unknown frag

I always forget about this piece it's kinda in a whole, it's not Hawkins, but rather similar had a name & lineage I just don't recall it

Firesomething? Digi.. I know the pic is soft but this is the first time I've been able to get one of these to hold the green base.

I don't know what this is, when I bought it (year ago) it was one of the nicest mari pieces I had seen. It promptly died back to a spec, and has been slowly growing back I'm really looking forward to it growing out to see what it was..

I know this is a bit hard to see, but both these pieces I almost lost. I lost lost this BN when my mag hit 1800, it's come back from a Spec. The acro thought I had lost, tossed it in the back of the tank then when cleaning up found a plug with some flesh on it.. It's been slowly growing back and colouring up.

This is a really neat monti my friend gave me (bottom right), in her tank it displays an iridescent purple growth rim.. my tank it's extra fuzzy. I'm really hoping to get that purple back. Also in this photo is my Garf Brown Bonzai one day I'll get that purple back.. at least it's growing where in the past they've been rather stagnant for me.

Little Rainbow Monti frag starting to encrust and grow.

Finally seeing some hints of colour and regrowth from this stag. Hopefully it won't remain the tank "eye sore" for much longer, as it was rather stunning when I bought it.

Nice, I can't get mine to hold the blue except aroudn the egdes. I don't know if I have 2 much lite or not enough. It's a tricky piece

Congrats on the recovery. Your sig states your tank is 18" deep. How high above the water surface do you have your 250w radiums?

My superman cant seem to get enough light, it loves high light and flow. My bluest area is also on the edges of new growth. Here is a new pics from last night.

wow very nice collection! give it a year and you'll be looking at an SPS forest!

Thanks you. I hope so! I went with a lot of stags this time around hoping for some rapid growth and an excuse to upgrade to a bigger tank :)

Thanks! The bottom of the reflectors are about 6" above the top of the water surface (which is about an 1.25" lower then the top of the tank). When I first switched over from my single DE halide & 6 t5s.. I bleached a lot of stuff I didn't think I would get that much more light out of these units over what I had. If I had a bigger tank I would raise them up a bit more to give me some lower light on the bottom while I like being able to put acros at the bottom of my tank, I was a little bummed I bleached all my efflos which I can't get any lower then where they are.

Mine is getting pretty nuked to, switching to the luminarcs really didn't leave me with many low light areas. I just want to get it all to have the same blue that is aroudn the growth areas.. guess it doesn't work like that though ha.

The tank is looking really good bro! It's such a good feeling to see growth after a mishap.. I changed my bulbs over to radiums and cooked a few not too long ago. Slowly but surely getting better. I need to get a bigger tank like yours!

i want your pink lemonade :(

Thanks, I got it pretty cheap they pop up in the prop forum all the time.

Thanks! I really didn't think I would bleach stuff by switching to radiums I was under the impression they didn't have the best in par, and I'm on some off brand ballast which I doubt is driving to their full potential. My bulbs also came used w/the halide setup so they already have 6months life on them. I hope I don't re-bleach everything when it's time to switch to new bulbs. I'm surprised out how long it's taking a few pieces to recover most are there but my efflos are all coloured up on the underside and bleached on the top still.

On tank size I've been really happy with this setup all though I wouldn't mind a couple more inches 18" is just a tad to short now that I've had this tank for a year or so. I wouldn't go the full 24" but I think 20-22 would be nice. I also wouldn't mind (now that I have luminarcs minis). Going a little wider to. I'm thinking with my current lighting setup I could get away with 40x30x21 tank with the 2 pendants and still put stuff pretty much anywhere I wanted, or if I just switched my reflectors to full size luminarcs I could go bigger. My old tank was 5x3x2, and I was able to lite it up with 2x400w under full size luminarcs. I don't want to go back to 400w I don't miss the 500-600 a month electric bills. Right now my tank is costing around 30-50$ a month to run in power.

Well.. Sometimes you take steps forward.. and sometimes backwards. I took some pictures tonight of my progress.. Unfortunately I had some how missed a batch of AEFW when blasting and they got a little out of hand. I got frustrated and over dipped a piece which started to RTN on me, and then kinda set of a change reaction (from what I can tell).. Anyways I lost all my Soli's, except for one which was damaged but is healing, and a couple pieces (like my valida) got munched on good. Some how I took it for bleaching and didn't notice the bite marks. I also had to frag up a few pieces that started to let go when the big solis rtn'd, and I lost my plana. For some reason my efflos and other Uknown "soli/efflo" like pieces weren't effected.. (thankfully).

Either way other stuff is still moving along and growing so, and hopefully a few of these pieces will go back from the fags I managed to save...
