Peacock and Clam?

Would the Peacock go after the clam for a snack? Or would he pretty much leave it alone? I am debating, and was thinking that he may go after the clam. I would like to get one, but i don't want it to end up being a $70 snack!

That's what I am thinking too... but I figured I would ask the experts before I ventured too far

Usually they will leave clams alone, but if they get hungry or decide to rearrange the landscape, they will strike the edge of the shell damaging the mantle. Unless it is a very large clam - bigger in diameter than the length of the O.s, I would advise against it.

Okay, so a big maxima would not be harmed then? But if I were to get a small one, that was smaller than the O. S, it would probably not go well.

Okay, so no clam for the mantis tank then! Looks like it's going in the minireef till it gets too big
