Would the Peacock go after the clam for a snack? Or would he pretty much leave it alone? I am debating, and was thinking that he may go after the clam. I would like to get one, but i don't want it to end up being a $70 snack!
Usually they will leave clams alone, but if they get hungry or decide to rearrange the landscape, they will strike the edge of the shell damaging the mantle. Unless it is a very large clam - bigger in diameter than the length of the O.s, I would advise against it.
