Peacock Paradise Buildup!

Why not just use flex tubing on the left, and why the three 90's on the right (why not just the flex tube straight into the 90 coming off the bulkhead)?

No matter what I do I cant get this damn flex tube to go straight. That was a quick mock up, I'll try it that way today. The reason for the 3 90s is I have no way to attach the Tunze barb connector right off the bulkhead, unless you have any ideas?

Looks like you just need the right fitting coming out of the bulkhead. Is that barb threaded? Then you need a threaded 90 from the bulkhead, or a slip 90 to a slip-to-threaded adapter. If you want it, they make it, when it comes to PVC fittings!

I tried that, the problem is the fitting from glass holes seems just slightly bigger than 3/4". Im gonna go back to Lowes today and see if they have anything that will match up

Check the electrical dept., you may fine some oddballs there. That is where I found 2.5" fittings. Of course it wasn't the 2.5" threaded Ts I need but at least I know that is the size I need. :D

Ok so finally some updates! I didn't get anything done yesterday, was hanging out with some friends watching the premier of Futurama. Sooo I'm a big *******, this whole time i didn't realize that the bulkhead has a 1/2" diameter! So I just stuck some 1/2" pvc in there and then popped on a 90 degree threaded elbow and BAM I'm done. I also changed out the other side to completely flex pvc. QUICK TIP just slide a metal pipe in that stuff and put it in the oven for about five minutes ans it comes out totally straight :) . Here's some pics:

Where was this tip a couple of months ago when I was going crazy trying to get a section of this stuff to run in a straight line? What a great idea!

Haha you don't even know how crazy I was going. That thought just popped in my head :reading: . Trying to get some updates together, I have the PVC all glued together and I ran a vinegar bath on the sump/fuge last night. Have to break down my 20 long and transfer it all in.

just checked out the glass holes site, and I think I am going to go that way on the 75 I am setting up. Looks like some quality stuff that they have going on over there.
