Yeah, I use to have a damsel living with my peacock for a long time. The fish that people use as tankmates are generally Damsels first (b/c they are a cheap experiment) then clowns, wrasses, and lions...
if you had a ciliata or a spearer of some sort, you would have had a different result... the clubbers usually only eat crustaceons, and but for osme reason know that gold fish are food, maybe an irrregular breathing pattern or something...
I actually just got 2 blue damsels for the new home I'm moving my peacock into. I think he will attack them though, he pummels gold fish right when he sees them.
yeah... when if first got my peacock, he would beat p a couple goldfish for me, but when he moved into a bigger tank, and I added a damsel, there was absolutely no aggression, NOR even any interest....the damsel was completely ignored.....
dang thats no good becuase that probly means i could of kept my clownfish since he shows no interest in the damsel.. I dont really want the damsel in my tank either
how long can a peacock go without food? maybe if i dont feed him he will get hungry and go for the fish
