Does anyone have any experience with pearlscale butterflyfish in a reef setup?
I had one a while back (before most of my fish died from a velvet outbreak), and it did fine with my mushrooms and zoanthids, as well as my Linckia starfish.
I was thinking about adding another one into my tank, but I'm trying to be reassured about its compatibility with an anemone (seeing as a Heteractis magnifica is what I want my tank to be based around).
Fishbase doesn't really say anything other than that they eat benthic inverts in the wild.
Basically, do you think a Chaetodon xanthurus would eat a host anemone?
