Pellets and small angels

I have a pair of Argi angels and they are very healthy and eat almost anything.. My current issue is that I cannot always feed them frozen as often as I prefer, so I'm in search for a pellet that satisfies the small size of the fish.. I currently feed the rest of my fish Spectrum pellets, and they are still slightly too big. The angels still go after them, but most of the time they have to wait until the pellet breaks down in the sand... Suggestions?

Thanks a lot everyone, right now the smallest size I have access to (beat down LFS) is 1.0 mm pellets and they just don't quite fit. I will check these all out, and probably end up buying some online

Also, does anyone else here feed Spectrum? If so, or not so, why and why not? I'm wanting to experiment with new pellets and trying to shy away from flakes. I've always used Spectrum pellets, way back to when I kept African Cichlids..

All the information I have read said spectrum are the best, I would stay on them if I was you, you can add in a different one with it but keep spectrum

I have found the best pellets are TDO from APBreed. You can get just about any size and all my fish prefer it over NLS or Hikari pellets. Especially smaller angels, wrasses and clowns.

Interesting - are you ordering them directly from Reed/APBreed? What size do you feed?

I feed NLS exclusively, from flakes, to 1mm pellets to 10 mm sinking pellets. Havent tried there new Floating pellets but I don't think my fish would eat floaters. Ive been using NLS exclusively for 3-4 years and other than the PE Mysis and Spirulina Brine, plus fresh marine flesh, shrimp, clams etc for the bigger guys/sharks. I have never had fatter, healthier, happier fish ! It would be a hard sell to get me to go with a different brand, especially with the precise sizes NLS produces which make it so easy to feed all of the different sized fish.
Their ingredients I believe are second to none!

rssjsb: yes, directly from APBreed. Usually size C, for really small fish B. Many of my larger angels like goldflake, bandit, personifier, etc eat size C. If I then try and feed NSL they spit them out.

Ha! I got the same result when I switched to NLS from Formula. We're creating "fish foodies."

Too bad they don't have a system to set up a regular monthly subscription/ order like I do with coffee.

Interesting feedback, of course my other fish love the Spectrum pellets, but it doesn't take much to get a pair of clown fish fat:spin1:

I am hoping to keep this pair of Argi angels as long as I can because I've never had two centropyge angels get along so well so ensuring their health is key to keeping them "as long as possible"

Have any of you used Rod's food and been happy with it? I had some stuffed in the freezer that I bought a while back and all the fish seem to love it, including the angels. I also picked up the frozen fish eggs of Rod's food and they love that as well, including my Mandarin.. :spin1:

Meh. People rave about it, but I've never been impressed by Rod's. I usually make my own mix of shrimp, squid, scallops, (sometimes) clam or grated salmon, or whatever other frozen stuff I have around.
