Peppermint Angel VIDEO!

I dunno but the peppermints have never really done it for me. It's a cool fish, but definitely not worth the price tag. I probably wouldn't even pay $200 if they were commonly availible. Thanks for sharing the video though, is this the first and only one in captivity?

Wow, that is really pretty...I never thought much of them before (I think my quote was, "What, it's colored just like a clownfish!") but that is beautiful!

Not the first, but I think the only one that has survived.
Same, to my knowledge (which is 1% of yours regarding angels, lol).

Aj Flip, maybe a coldwater reef , but here is a quote from the link I posted:

To mimic the deepwater habitat it lives in, the water temperature of this system is kept at 69-71F and only illuminated by 2 florescent “CFL” type spotlights.

That is the only one in captivity... for now. We'll see if any collectors purchase others.

Given their nature and price, I don't think any owner of this fish would be too upset if it did have a taste for corals ;) Generally speaking, Paracentropyge seem to be more reef safe than other Angels.

More photos will likely be seen at Friday night at MACNA by Koji Wada who took the video.
