Peppermint shrimp and White porcelin crabs breeding

Funny thing I just noticed the 2 peppermints I got from the LFS a month ago are now breeding.. just noticed a hole load of eggs on the female this morning... she's huge with eggs all over... doubt any would survive..

same goes with 1 one my white porcelin's... had a load of eggs in the underbelly... I put it in the HOB.... noticed she released the eggs a couple of days after being put in the fuge.... too bad she did not make it after... I highly doubt the babies make it through.. too many pods in there tiny and LARGE... probly eat all of them..

Not to mention getting them to settle out is a hurdle unto itself

You can raise the pep shrimp. There is a book on it called "How to traind your pepermint shrimp" or something like that, that tells you how to do it. I tried it once a few times, and it was pretty tough, but not impossible. I never got them to maturity due to my setup not being to snuff. I have the book if your interested.

The crags are a bit tough. They have a much longer larvea stage (some are months) and I don't know if anyone has been very successfull yet. Doesn't hurt to try though.

My peps were too hard to catch in the 100 w/ a ton of live rock. They know when its feeding time but know when I mean to go into the tank.... I'd figure let nature take its course for now...
