Peppermint Shrimp---MIA

I can not keep a Peppermint Shrimp for more than a month or two. Sometimes they disappear after a few days, but the last one was quite active, lurking in the rock even in the daytime. Now he's missing. There are no crabs or aggressive fish. Does anyone else have this problem?? R

they're probably all just hiding. i had one and i thought it just died immediately too only to find it behind the rocks a month later. they're really good at hiding so you'll be surprised

I think he's dead. I haven't seen him in a month and the Aptasia is back.

Could be either. I found some when I moved my old tank that I thought were dead for months. Add some more if aiptaisia control is an issue.

check with a flashlight at night, mine come out only at night...

i have a diedem dottyback fish that eats my shrimp every time.
Fist time i could not understand were all shrimp were going, the dottyback was so much smaller then the shrimp but one day he ate a big one and all afternoon i could see shrimp sticking out from his lips twice the dottybacks length. just because they are smaller does not mean they are not eating them..amazing.
