Peppermint shrimp or fire shrimp

Hi all, just thought I'd ask the question above. I'm looking to get one of them for my 24g tank just wondered if it makes much difference? The peppermint one apparently does more scavenging so would form part of the cuc in that case. Got a few soft corals in there as well as a lawnmower blenny, hi fin goby and tiger pistol shrimp. Will be adding a royal gramma at some point to.

I never see the peppermints I bought, they like to hide. Fire hides a little but not as shy as the peppermints I've had. As far as the Fire getting along with your other shrimp not sure.

I have one fire shrimp 3 peppermint shrimp with no problems. I bought the peppermint shrimp to help with a slight aptasia problem in a new tank! The fire shrimp... Because it looks cool!

Pep's are mainly used for aiptaisa control vs fire shrimp for cleaning. I have not really had great luck with either when it comes to seeing them as they both hide. A skunk cleaner however is always out and a great shrimp to have, and one in a 24g would be fine.

I had 3 peppermint shrimp, was down to 2, now I'm only certain about 1 of them. It no longer hides, as long as my clowns aren't harassing it. Then again it's gotten pretty big. It loves to clean my corals, especially the soft non stinging ones.

I have 3 peppermint shrimp that I hadn't seen hide nor hair of in 6 months. I was sure they were dead. Two months ago I did a new rockscape and low and behold, there were the 3 peppermint shrimp, alive and well.

At the same time I have cleaner shrimp that are out 75% of the time and always when I feed or stick my hand in the tank!

Skunk cleaner might be way forward as be nice to see it. Don't see much of my pistol shrimp but I know he's alive due to loud clicks.

I have 1 fire shrimp, 1 cleaner shrimp and 1 peppermint shrimp. Peppermint is always out, fire shrimp hides most of the time and the peppermint hangs at the top of my water column 90% of the time. It seems we all are having different experiences with each so it's a crapshoot.

I don't trust my peppermints in tanks with corals I like. My skunk and fire shrimp are fans of my near the tank tho. I feed them both by hand and in both my tanks. I have 2 150gal systems they both have skunk and fire and they are always visible to me but they always seem to just come out when there is movement by the tank. Love them both...I don't trust the peppermints IME others have reported resounding success with them.
