Peppermint shrimp vs. others

Well I know many of you will probably agree with me that peppermint shrimp can be kind of aggressive in terms of how delicate they are with LPS corals and such.
After a couple months I am just sick of feeding all my LPS and then 5 minutes later having my peppermints come by and just rip the mysis right out of their mouths etc. etc.
I have one other fire shrimp in my tank which I really like and it isn't that aggressive.
I was wondering how many of you do not use peppermint shrimp as well as dislike them. Also, what are some alternatives? Are cleaner shrimp as aggressive/ do they do as good of a job?
Would there be any major disadvantages of not keeping peppermint shrimp?

Any input would be appreciated.

The only disadvantage would be is that you would have nothing that eats Apaisia anemonies. But other than that I don't think there are any.

I used to use peppermints, but not anymore, after they both attacked my $90 frogspawn, and my coco worm. Cleaner shrimp, are the best alternatives I think, they do a better job of cleaning, and are more attractive, and will clean some fish in the tank when they need it. I've also seen them eating fish poo which my peppermint never does

cleaner shrimp are a little more aggressive, to fish and maybe other small shrimp but only occasionally, peppermints are sometimes very aggressive to newly introduced corals, but only with some people.

As soon as I drop a new frag in my tank the peppermints are all over it.
It also beet the hell outta my feather duster when I first put it in there.

i personally only have peppermint shrimp in any of my tanks when i have aiptasia starting to pop up and as soon as the aiptasia is gone so is the peppermint shrimp. they are too agressive to my corals and they used to eat pieces of my BTA.

in my opinion they are only good for getting rid of aiptasia, nothing more.
