Hello,
A while back I had an aptasia outbreak. I purchased peppermint shrimps from several our LFS, but none of them ate the aptasia. Actually most of the shrimps just kinda disappeared, and I never saw them again. When I was down in Stockton, I purchased a pair from Twins Aquarium, and that did the job. Since then I have replaced my original pair once, and my aptasia is still gone (except for one in the overflow box where my peppermint shrimp can't get to).
Anyway - I am heading down to my parent to remodel their bathroom and help my sister with her bathroom remodeling. Since I am going to be in Stockton, I can pick up peppermint shrimp from Twins if anyone is interested in trying them. I can't recall the price, but I thought they were $6 a piece (not including tax). I'll sell it for the actual cost rounded UP to the nearest $0.50 (hate dealing with nickles, dimes, pennies). These shrimps are on the medium size. They are larger than the shrimps that I got from Reeftopia and the LFS. But they are not big either.
If you're interested, please respond to this post. I will try to check it before heading back home. Oh - I want pickup to be done this weekend (late tonight or tomorrow). I am not interested in keeping a tank full of peppermint shrimps. LOL
Minh
PS - I cannot guarantee the shrimp will eat aptasia. I am simply stating that I have had good luck with peppermint shrimps from Twins.
