hey,

thanks to my uncle i got a great rbta. i put it in the tank after 1 hour of drip acclimation and it attacthed quickly to a rock. then my peppermints just ran right towards it and have been picking at it. every once and awhile they scurry away with pieces of the bta!
they just wont leave it alone. i see some damaged tentacles!
should i just leave it be as this is normal or should i attract these peppermints with food and get em outta there?

thanks

only can happen to you kev...

I have pepermints in my tank and they don't bother with it some actually hang out under them..
I don't know what to do so IMO I would try feeding them a silverside or something that takes time to eat so the RBTA can acclimate and hopefully take care of itself and move away.

thanks, i feed them a cube of mysis and they settled big time...they havent gone near him within the half hour! wheww thank goodnessssss!

hes in the corner of the tank pretty much attacthed to the glass. as long as hes happy, im happy.

thanks

hey

things have settled but the anemone has stored himself in the back of the tank behind rocks in the corner!
is there anyway i could try to get him out of there? i mean hes not getting much light back there and theres no way ill be able to feed him once a week back there.

thanks

Anemones will move till they find a place that makes them happy. FWIW i NEVER feed my RBTAs and they do quite well. Ive had several bleach themselves from hiding and they always recover. Id leave it be for now.

I go with what chris said, after all he is the "King of RBTA's" that is the grandchild of the rbta chris sold me when I first started (4 splits so far.. now I have a reason to get a larger tank.. ) :D

lol yea thanks guys...well now what do i have then a great grandson of chris's walls of rbta's!!!

thanks guys
