perc staying at the top

So I've had this clown for about a month now. Since I put him in my tank, he's been staying at the surface. During the day, he just stays there (in the upright position) swimming around the back window, coming to the front only to feed. No one around to bully him; he's the only fish, sharing the tank with a shrimp, a couple of snails and an emerald crab. There's a BTA, an elegance and torch coral in there as well.

Any ideas?

mine do this as well. the 2 of them just hang out in the upper right corner of the tank almost all the time. they only leave the corner once in a while.

My juvey Onyx did the same thing, as she was the only fish with the exception of some snails in my 35g.

Today I added my 2nd fish, another True Perc that's larger than the first, and this one happens to enjoy swimming in the middle to lower portion of the tank. What I've noticed is that the juvey is following the larger one around playfully, and enjoying the lower portions of the tank instead of staying at the surface riding the jet stream of the powerhead :D
