Perc taking out anemones food?

Good evening everyone

Why would a perc do this? For the last few feeding it was looking as if the anemone was just not taking it. And then tonite i found my little perc taking it out of the nems mouth and putting it on the sand away from the nem. I even feed the fish all at the same time as the nem so they wouldn't try to steel anything from it. Little bugger:)

So why would it do that and how do i feed this nem without the clown bothering it? It is to big to put something over it, 12 inches across.

Thanks
Lisa

I have the same question. I have a green carpet and a tiny sebea clown, the clown steals its food, now lately the carpet has gotten stickier and the clown can not steal it, so perhaps if the anemone wants it badly enough, it will not let the clown get it, I dont't know for sure though.

My Ocellaris do the same thing. It's been about 2 years and it's healthy so it doesn't seem to be a real problem.
