Has anyone had success with percula clownfish (male/female) pair and long tentacle anemones (Macrodactyla doreensis)? I just purchased these new additions and they don't seem to be taking to each other. In my LFS these two clownfish associated well with a larger anemone of the same species, but a different color and in a different tank. I purchased the fish from one tank and the amenone from another. The interestng thin was when I was drip acclimating them with tank water, I had them in a 5 gal. bucket and after about half an hour the perculas were all over the anemone - it was true love! But now, in my 72gal tank they seem to be complete strangers. Will it just take time before they become friends again, or is the relationship doomed. Sorry for the dramatics, but seriously - do they have a chance?

If they hosted in the bucket, they will probably host again in the tank. Give them some time (anywhere from days to weeks).
