Perfecto Glass Tempered?

Anyone know if the back glass on perfecto aquariums is tempered? Looking at drilling a tank.

It depends. What size tank? In general, the bottoms of most tanks are, and the sides are not, but there are exceptions to this. The only way to know for sure is to check with the manufacturer. You can also use the LCD screen trick to check, but this is not fool proof.

That's right - different tanks have different combinations of tempered and non tempered panes.

This is a 25 gallon cube, 18x18x18 inch tank with a center overflow. The ones they have on Marinland website now are the same tank it just has a corner flow.

I have a question into Marineland but i thought maybe someone knew. if any of you guys know someone at Marineland or Perfecto please try and find out. I'd appreciate it.

i recently bought a 120 xh Perfecto. Only the bottom was tempered on mine.

The only way to know for sure is to check with the manufacturer.

Even that isn't really for sure, since a manufacturer can only say whether that tank should have tempered panels or not. It could well have tempered panels, even if the line usually doesn't use them, although it would be relatively rare.
