i have a 75 gallon fish tank, with some soft corals and one green carpet anemone, the green carpet anemone is in the middle of the tank but the perucula clown fish would not host it it always stays in the front right side corner sine the day i bought him. how can i get the perucula to host the anemone without moving the anemone to the spot were the perucula spends its time. Need advise.

Well, unfortunately, not all clowns will host the anemone you like and even the ones they're supposed to. A lot of times, its just hit or miss with getting a clown to host. One thing you can try is to get a large strainer (that will fit in your tank) and put it up at the top with support from a large rock or something and put the clownfish and anemone in it. Give it a couple days and the clown should host it.

How long have both been in the tank?

Did you not see the strainer thing? I will find a pic that shows how its done. Another thing, 8 days? Be patient! This hobby requires a lot of it and it could take up to month or two for it be interested.

THAT IS A GOOD IDEA BUT TO PUT THE GREEN CARPET ANEMONE I WILL NEED A BIG STRAINER BECAUSE IT AROUND 12 IN IN DIAMETER THANKS FOR THE HELP

8 days is not very long. Clownfishes are territorial. She has obviouly set up a territory that is NOT the anemone. Wait a couple more weeks and then take action. If she doesn't find the anemone in that time rearrange the aqauscape, especially the spot she hangs out in. You want to also NOT disturb the anemone. Carpets have bad suvival rates in the hands of inexperienced anemone keepers so do as little as possible, moving it may well damage the anemone. Also, not disturbing the area around the anemone will make it the most familiar area in the tank for the clownfish. This may help increase the likelyhood that she will choose the anemone as her new territory.

Good luck.

You might want to be careful here. A carpet is not a natural host for a perc from my reading. Also, I have read that carpets have been known to eat ocellaris and perc when they attempt to host. It isn't a guarantee, but it is a possibility.
