Pet Junction - Stow

my father in law was there on Monday trying to use his $15 coupon they sent him for spending $100 in a month and he seen someone there feeding the animals. so they are still taking care of there live stock. so there is a glimmer of hope that they will reopen
 
Salty Critter needs to open a store in the Ravenna, Kent area. We have nothing here....

I'm in the same boat. I just called Pet Supplies Plus and they carry the brine shrimp, but that is about all they have for saltwater. I think the next closest place is Two Turtles in Akron.
 
Captain Larrys in Ellet sells alot of food like pj's did and if he keeps working on his store like he has been we will soon have a store local that will be equivalent to a salty or an a.t. If you havent been there in a while i would check them out and you will be Abel to tell the captain has been hard at work!
 
Yes, the state took the snakeheads and they really have an american florida alligator for sale. I have gotten a call or two from one of the employees, yes the livestock is being fed for the most part and was told that they may or maynot open. Anyones guess. Captian Larry's is comming along, he has done alot of work and has really reasonable prices and scelection. Just that much farther to drive thats all. As far as Hutch in kent goes, not much selection a little higher prices but the livestock is always healthy, when they have it. They try to sell only tank raised livestock to support the eco-friendly retail marine trade. And finally, yes the Ravenna area does need a quality fish and coral retail shop.
 
I went to Captain Larry's tonight. I bought a big, fat, beautiful pink tail trigger for $35! Great prices & nice selection + they had the mysis/brine frozen plates I used to buy at Pet Junction. Good place for the locals.
 
Another place to check out is pet supplies in alliance. The manger is in to reef tanks and they have a lot of nice corals, live rock, and fish for great prices. Also carries large variety of food including PE and the biopure mysis.
 
Yes captain Larry's has come a long way. If anyone has not been there it's worth the trip at least once. They get shipments every Friday. As for pet junction I hope they get everything sorted out hate to see another lfs close it's doors. Another place to checkmout is the coral reefs in Akron kinda small but great people.
 
Any news on Pet Junction? I remember going there a while back when they had the snake heads as well. Never knew they were into reef or I would have tried stopped out there by now.

I've been wanting to check out Coral Reefs.

What do you guys think of Aquatic Interiors on Exchange? I've been in there a few times and the guy seems nice. Prices seem high though.

Captain Larry's is really cool. I've been out there a few times while setting up my tank and they've helped a lot.

dose any one know the hours at coral reefs? and i dont think pet junction will ever reopen i have heard that they have gotten rid of there live stock so i guess there go's my idea of going to the auction

I picked up a nice Desjardini Tang from them in the fall and it is fat and healthy. They can order in just about anything you want, they will keep it until it is eating good before you take it home. They are good ppl.
 
I just went to Coral Reefs last night to check it out. That was the one "local" shop I haven't been to yet. Owner is really nice, some great looking fish but the current stock is pretty low. He said he missed out on an order for this week so the next order won't be in until the end of next week. Prices seemed high too.
 
does anyone one have captain larrys address...i was under the impression he closed dowm some time ago as i took over a bunch of the tanks he used to maintain...just would like to see his store for myself...thanks
