Pet store in Copiague

I purchased a bunch of fish from this store last week and they all died shortly after.
They were doing great at first, but that was until they ate. One by one they dropped off. I could be wrong, but isn't that a symptom and effect of fish caught by cyanide? Liver failure so when they eat their bodies cannot process the food and they die from toxic levels of waste in their blood?

Has anyone else had this experience with this store?

They have nice corals, whole colonies too, but I will not buy fish from there again.

Do you think this effecting all pet stores? Maybe they're coming from a new distributor?

I haven't had issues like this in a long while.

I haven't added fish in some time, and then I got them from other hobbyists.
Following to see where this goes.

Funny part is last nights meeting was on proper acclimation procedures for fish. Tony from Caribbean Blue spoke.

I acclimated my fish from this other store, the fish were all happy. They were swimming well and eating.
Then, they just dropped like flies within a couple of days.

Great to see you again too, Bill!

Were they in quarantine or did you put them in your display tank? maybe something in your tank stressed them out?

let me know how your new shiny tang does!

They went into the display. What I didn't understand was how they suddenly died. They were swimming, no one was harassing them, and they were eating.

I was up past midnight acclimating my new fish last night. I used the drip method that Tony demonstrated with a shallow container. I also made a drain so the lighter lower salinity would drain out as my 34ppm salt water dripped into their 18ppm.
It took me a couple of hours to get the water just right.

All of the fish are happy and swimming. Especially that gorgeous Powder Blue Tang! What an incredible specimen!

I've had bad luck with local bought fish as well, ich, flukes and marine velvet.

Time to invest in a QT tank perhaps, I learned my lesson and it was costly....

Sometimes I say to myself maybe I should have just ordered from divers den and wouldn't have these problems......
