Petco Carpets are on Sale for $22.39

Petco.com has carpet anemones for $22.39. They are 6"-10".
There is no guarantee on haddoni, gigantea, or mertensii.

So? Are you gonna go for it?

personally, i would pass for several reasons...

first, no guaranty.

second, they are "assorted" and you can't order gig's. i have seen petco "gig's" locally and they were all haddoni even after being labeled as gig's.

third, i have seen plenty of "assorted" or "gig's" at petco. they are normally listed at $35-40 in store. if i was going that route, i would rather see it first and pay the same price.

to each their own... you should order a couple. maybe you will have success with them...

Be careful. They mix a lot of S. Helianthus in too...

Ah. Didn't think about Helianthus.

Petco won't order Carpets where I live...
Clowns, coral beauty angels, cardinals, yellow tangs, that's about it.
Sometimes a few soft corals...

I agree with everyone's sentiments. I have a friend who ordered from petco.com merely out of curiousity and he received a haddoni. The nice part was that he didn't have to return the nem when it was pointed out that it wasn't a gigantea as originally ordered.

Makes sense, my Gigantea which really was a Haddoni was from Petco. It's still doing great at least.

At that price and that size, I would be expecting them to send S. heliathus.
