Petco Green Haddoni Rescue Project

I sold my Hermit and Urchin today for a smaller CUC. But so far ive yet to have a death and its been two years.

I have a question for you. Where is it that you get all of your top secret information? Employees? PETA? Or are you just making assumptions based on what you see?

I used to be the same way. Till i needed a job and started working at PetSmart. I learned a TON about how things work and what really goes on behind the fish wall.

I also learned that disclosing company information results in termination.

I don't need secret information. I can see they're putting a haddoni under weak lighting, in poor circulated water

its the COMPANY'S RESPONSIBILITY TO DESIGN A GUIDE BOOK AND MONITOR ITS EMPLOYEES TO STRICTLY FOLLOW IT. And this ora tank proves the management and the store can do well if properly instructed and educated

ironically the store itself proves its petco's problem rather than taking the management/employees as scapegoat

apparently the ora coral frag tank was well designed and attended on. the management and the employees sure know how to follow a company's guide book

it was petco company's fault to classify wrong sea anemone, anthias and the other delicate critters, leaving them dying in those tanks with hermits, snails, damsels and clownfish

Never in my life have i seen a tank like that at PetCo. Awesome. Wish mine had one of those.

Be angry all you want but it wont change a thing about PetCo selling marine. Although if you email PetCo via their site.. theyll actually call you and start investigating the store in question.

now i need a quotation, I never say Petco must stop

i just say it needs to improve. before the company knows how to do it right, it needs a suspension

I am sure Petco is like all the other business. The bottom line is important. If they don't meet the bottom line, unless they work for their mother or father, they get replace. The aquatic manager do all the orders. I am sure that if they do well, they can order upgrade, expansion of the aquatic department and ./...
The Petco here in Corpus Christi, is not bad. They have expanded their aquatic department several times the last few year. Right now they do a total aquatic remodel. The lady who run the aquatic department seem to know what she is doing and does not kill a lot of animals.

Cause you know.. burgers and fish are rhe same thing and totally interchangeable.

Retail pet stores will differ. Each will be completely differemt in what they sell.. offer.. how they act, and what they know.

My store is one of the few in Texas with Cockatiels. Maybe everyone should have cockatiels now so we can be uniform

I'm working with a company that has hundreds of offices across the globe. Its not a RETAIL pet store, its a FRANCHISE pet store

do you even know the meaning of FRANCHISE?

this is a very unchartered water. carpet anemone--good for me haddoni is pretty hardy--seems to have a worse response record to cipro

As far as I know, they have done well on antibiotics from what I've heard.

I wonder why they wouldn't respond to cipro? They should have the same gram negative infections as the others. hmm...

wow, ive never seen a pecto frag tank that spotless and organized. where the heck is that?

Have you ever worked retail? Retail is retail. Nobody said it wasnt a franchise. I just called it a retail store. Which it is. Calm down and stop nit picking at random little things.

It really doesn't even look like a petco. I mean really. My petco has actually stopped selling marine. The funny thing was the people that worked their were actually hobbyists that new what they were doing.

Can we get back to the thread of the rescue project. I'm interested in seeing the pics and progress. No disrespect to anybody. I just think we can talk about the original thread topic. :-)

group hugs!
