Pete's 110 build

Beautiful pieces! I think the second one is a tort of some kind. Is it ORA?

thanks Peter

that second piece was sold to me as a "powder blue turaki" and at first I didn't question it but I've since had some doubts as it has a more robust look to it, may be it just needs to grow out more.

Beautiful pics.......

If this algae is not disturbing your corals than leave it. it gives very natural look in the tank......:)

here is a short video of my sump

Amazing. So much life in your sump, looks great! I used to have a few chitons in my old 40g. Makes me want to set up a fuge! Projects!! :D

I was making up some salt water for my normal 2 week water change and decided to check my TDS, it was 15 :eek2: , no wonder I'm having an algea issue lately.

I'm off to get a set of filters from Marc this morning and drop by the Coral Farmers Market and the other vedors at Next Wave

Yikes! Haha, you'll have it fixed in no time. Say HI to Marc for me. :)

Brett - I got your message when I got back but will definitely tell Marc you said hi next time I talk to him.

I got the filters changed out, TDS = 000. I hope that makes a major dent in the algae blooms I've been having lately. Those filters have been in service since my 300g was up and running so they were definitely over due for a change.

I picked up 4 corals from the vendor area at Next Wave
- a rainbow monte
- florescent green candy cane
- an orange acan
- some more zoo's (even though I told myself I wasn't going to get any)

Here are the new additions I pcked up at Next Wave today

I have that same fluorescent red algae, the RB LEDs really make it stand out. If you have photo editing software then changing the "tint" as well as the white balance will remove that weird too purple color on the rocks that our cameras see with LED lit systems.

thanks for the info Alex. When the main lights are not on, I'll set the one push white ballance on the camera, but it then turns everything purplish (other wise its way too blue). I haven't messed with the tint on the pictures so I'll have to give that a try. thanks

what editing software are you using?

thanks Alex, I'll give it a try

here is a video trip around the tank, showing off the corals under the royal blye LED's - hope you enjoy
