I got an email that my Ca reactor and Co2 bottle shipped Friday so they should be here some time early this week. I'm going to send a sample of water off to the lab tomorrow so I have a good reference point pre Ca reactor plus to see if anything I don't measure may b out of wack.
I'm wet skimming for a couple hours then I'm going to do my second dose of aminos.
I'll be out of town all week so won't be able to get the Ca reactor set up until next weekend. I need to build a table for the reactors and need to work on a more permanent design for my electrical and water make up stations for that side of the tank.
I want to work the water change set up with a latching device so I can just flip a switch to start the RO/Di and let it shut off by itself. Then I'll work up a supply from my main pump to flow into the fresh salt mix and over flow the water to the sump. I plan on having a mixing pump in the make up water tank that will serve to drain the tank up into the attic and over to a drain line. The intent is to not have to bucket brigade water any more. I don't have a sink or drain near the tank so I'll need to pump the water up and out about 12' up and maybe 20-30 ft over to a drain.
Last night I pulled my orange zoa rock out and dipped it so see if I had any preditors. I didn't see anything out of the norm, so I cut off the few ricordia on the rock and placed it back in the tank. I also moved a couple sps around to make more room for growth.
The Ora Red Planet is looking much better so I'll have to start considering where to place it with the other two ORA's I got last month.
I was reading up on the Cyphastrea, sounds like it prefers a lower light area so I'll be moving it along with a couple others that don't seem to like the intensity of the 400's.
Here are a couple more shots from today
