did you get a new camera? these pics are awesome!

thanks Chris
same camera, it does a good job on flash and very close up pictures, but hard to capture detail without flash when the subject is more then a few inches away. Even then, I'll take several and weed through them not using about 80% of the ones I take. Thank goodness for digital media :)

New Addition - Goniopora

New Addition - Goniopora

I know they are not the easiest to keep, but at least I got a purple one. Wish me the best, and if you have any secrets on keeping these, please let me know.

Target Feeding for sure. That Roti Feast by Reef Nutrition would be good as well.

thanks Marc - I'll look for some
It's already pulled in for the night and according to some reading I've done they are not nocturnal feeders.

I picked up some artic pods so I'll give it a shot of those and some phyto tomorrow night.

Arctipods are better for anthias snacks than coral food due to the larger size. Who knows, if they develop a taste for the tiny critters, they may eat more of the other reef cooties in your tank. :)

I agree that rotifiers and phytoplankton would work out better for coral feeding.

I also have some "coral frenzy" I'd be glad to share if you're interested in trying it Pete. Mix it up as per the instructions and target feed with a turkey baster.

you know what - I meant to pick up the Roti feast and must have grabbed the wrong bottle. Drat - this stuff isn't cheap, I guess my antias will get a nice treat out of it. I suspose I can also feed my sun coral some.

Pete, I have a bottle of Roti Feast if you happen to be in the area and want one.

no plans right now but I need to get down there to pick up some black egg crate from Dave

I'll be in Marc's area tonight Pete, I'm headed to Frank's after work.

Anthias love it, it can be fed in really small amounts throughout the day. I'm willing to bet your huge fat mandarin will get in on the action too, the pods are just the perfect size for his feeding. You didn't go wrong buying it.

about what time? I wish I could tag along but I'm clear on the other side of the metroplex right now.

I'll send you a pm

I need to raise some money for a new camera, think I can sell frags of this on ebay for $50 an inch? I'll call it Pete's Patriotic Prostrata (P3LE). Limited Edition of course, morphed by AEFW, red bugs, low ALK and constant light change. Better yet maybe $150 an inch, it is rare you know, and Superman is over rated and over used.

Since all my money goes the electric company, we'll just have to trade frag for frag. I hear you need a little granulosa. ;)

But don't I wish that coral actually looked like that. I decided to play with the saturation to see if I could get a red white and blue coral out if it. In reality it's a nice deep purple with blue tips, but if the polyps are retracted it does turn red under 10k lighting.

Regardless if you want a frag, get in line on ebay.

joking of course,
any time you want, I'll cut a frag for you, definitly one that would be nice to have banked.

I think I have a 'superman' milli in my tank now, but it isn't doing anything super quite yet. Maybe I'll just focus more on the vodka.
