those are some incredible pictures. Do you have a macro lens? If not do you want one?

thanks - and I don't have a macro lens as I don't have a DSLR. One of these days I want to get one, but it's just not in the financial plan right now. :(

Seriously now. Whenever it's time to change your bulbs you should email the sale of a frag pack to me. Ya know offset the price.
Kidding. Nice work and thanks for keeping us posted so well on your tank.

I like the way you think and I do try to offset some cost for upgrades with selling frags. My next upgrade is a Ca reactor :) I'm a few frags away yet.

odd my timer on my Atinics must of gone out as they were still on. So I turned on my 400w 10ks and took some pictures (I'll have to get a new timer later)

So, here are a few pretties from tonight

Turaki - starting to take off with new growth

This Austera was almost red when the 400w 10ks where kicking in. It's more a blue and tan color normally. And under just atinic lighting the tips are yellow.

Great pictures, like usual Pete.
thanks Marc

I dipped a bunch of acros tonight - NO SIGNS of AEFW's :) :D

Ph has dropped about 0.2 on average, I suspect it's a combination of not enough Limewater and lower O2 levels in the tank. All corals appear great even though I will see as much as a 0.4 PH swing during dosing. I made some minor modifications to my tubing that should help the clogging issue so I'll try and slow the drip rate while it doses.

camera hog (tried to get a PE picture of a mille)

Great news! Things look painfully great as ever;) I'm still having coral envy!

I didn't get a picture of that mille due to my camera happy PBT, but I got this one

That looks a lot better. Why do you keep the lights so high up over that section anyway?

I tried to reply to your PM, but your box is full. I'm going to pass on this order, but thanks.

Marc - the lights are clamped to my piping, there is nothing else up there to clip the lights to. If the macro algae doesn't take off, I'll ditch the clamps and suspend them.

good call on the reflectors - they don't add anything with the bulbs having built in reflectors. I'll have to find a way to lower them, right now they are clamped on to my left side closed loop return line.

Marc is right that the reflectors don't "add" anything. I kept mine on to prevent the light from illuminating anything to the side or above the lamp bulbs. I don't need the extra light cast fueling more algae in my reactor manifold tubing or inside the skimmer. That stuff is a serious PITA to clean.

Okay

this one for you reef necks that like a clean fuge

That's very nice, now you can see what's going on in there! I had no idea what was in your refugium all this time.

Now let's wait for Marc to tell you to clean your skimmer again.

Have you had time to slow down your kalk feed into your sump?
