I've a 150W HQI double ended bulb (10K Kelvin) that I would like to use in my hood. I'm currently deciding whether to use the regular PFO ballast or the PFO electronic ballast. I've done a bit of research. The concensus is that the regular PFO ballasts are very reliable. But I've not found any information on the PFO electronic ballast. I'm in California. As you know, the electricity cost a lot here. This is the primary reason I'm leaning toward the electronic ballast. But before I order, I'd like to know the reliability and longevity of the electronic ballast. What are the positives and what are the negatives of the PFO electronic ballast.
