PH intake, make them less dangerous?

i am concern that shrimp, goby and any small live creatures might get suck in the power head intake, what do you use to screen them? the regular stuff i have found is both big and ugly. what do you think?

I've only used stock stuff...

some of my LPS corals have gotten messed up thanks to the powerheads. I've had a whole bubble coral just about die now because of it. . Anyways, i'm not sure.

Are these really strong PH's you have?

not really but it's a hidden danger if you have an anemone, tiny delicate shrimp, small goby and that sort of stuff. you almost end up killing your bubble coral didn't you i am in the process of setting up another nano and will potentially have one of the above so i just want to see what my options are.
