PH seems to dip low

I attached my apex chart from the past week. My ph drops below the 7.8 mark. I dont add any buffer just alk and ca. Is it something I should be worried about?

My levels are comparable to yours. I mainly dose Ca and Alk but when I need a ph "boost" I'll mix some Kalkwasser in salt water and raise it up. I notice bigger swings when my windows are closed, obviously due to carbon dioxide not being expelled. I've been watching my corals and they seem to be doing just fine though. However, there has been a day or 2 when the ph drops below 7.7 and I notice one or 2 of my corals responding negatively. If I had my way I'd would love a stable 8.2 ph but if I try to get it that high it just plummets quickly at night so I stopped chasing a number and my corals are just fine. HTH

I wouldn't worry about it, the kalk is a good idea but I would keep an eye on your alkalinity if you start using it

Yes I dose my alk when my lights are off. The amount isn't a lot though I am only using about .5 a day and I dose 7ml of red sea b . It definitely helps having a Window open. I also run a algae reactor opposite of my light schedule. Would a airline to the outside help? Can it just be air tubing?

Try raising your magnesium a bit. Also if you have a refuge make sure the light is on over night. This should eat up some of that co2.

I also notice that some calcium reactors tend to maintain a lower ph than others. I always use Koralin reactors(SP?) my ph is always around 8.2.

Good luck!

My mag is pretty high right now around 1400. I don't have room for a refuge not much room under my reefer 250. I did hook up a algae reactor thats light cycle is opposite of the main tank. With my windows open I am staying between 7.8 and 8.10. I was just worried about this winter guess I'll see what happens
