PH too high?

I have been monitoring my pH via my APEX for some time now and it seems to constantly be on the higher side. Don't know why or how I can get it down. All parameters are good and stable:

Temp: 77F
Alk: 9.0 (controlled with APEX and BRS doser, been stable at 9 for a long time)
Ca: 460 (controlled with APEX and BRS doser, been stable around 460 for a long time)
Mg: 1400 (Not had the need to dose Mg yet. Regular water changes have been able to keep it stable around 1400)

The pH tops out at 8.6 just before the lights goes off and then drops down to maybe 8.2-8.4 during night.

Is that too high or should I not worry too much about it?Everything seems to be healthy in the tank but want to be pro-active if I have to adjust anything.

While that PH is fine, I would question the accuracy of the probe. It is all too common for them to not be correct.

That is certainly a possibility. It was calibrated in early August of this year but I can always re-calibrate it again.

those numbers are prety good, and close to equilibrium.

so during the light period, co2 gets used up and you go above your equ. PH and then back to normal by morning.

I only use PH probe, for when something is wrong. for example if you wake up and PH is 7.5 instead of 8.2 ... then you know there is a problem and look for it, other than that, I dont care about it much.
